Virtuoso soloist (notably for ten years within the famous Vienna Art Orchestra), director and composer for large groups from the National Jazz Orchestra (2005-2008) to his current orchestra via the Orchester des Jeunes Jazzmen de Bourgogne and different symphonic and harmony ensembles, Franck Tortiller presents us with this project a more intimate experience in the exercise of the solo, often considered as a delicate test and little explored by percussionists. In this solitary exercise, he reveals a charming universe, rich in meaning and poetry, in which the fluid and sensitive tones of the vibraphone give harmonious echoes to the brief, dynamic and woody notes of the marimba. We find in “live” the indefinable charm of his magnificent album “The lesson of days” released in 2014.
