“Pronto” means ready, to be ready, to stand ready and it sounds like an urgency to live in the present time, the intensity of the moment.
The creation “Pronto” brings together four exceptional musicians invested in this formidable quest for jazz, aware that each concert has a particular time and that they share it fully with the public.
Since 2010, Christophe Marguet, one of the finest drummers to be heard on the jazz scene, has been collaborating regularly with Daniel Edrmann, generous and breathtaking saxophonist – from duo to quartet (Together, Together! In 2013 and Three Roads Home in 2018 with as guests Henri Texier and Claude Tchamitchian, two of the greatest French bassists) – Hyperactive, hyper sensitive, these two musicians share strong links with jazz, improvisation and magnificent references and sources of inspiration such as music Ornette Coleman, Dewey, Ed Blackwell …
For their new project, it was only natural that they invited Rita Martoculli, the essential pianist in Italy, and Hélène Labarrière, double bass player alongside the biggest names, prolific leader, multiplying transdisciplinary experiences and new encounters.
This European creation entirely composed by the four musicians will unite their universes to offer a unique sound identity. Concert event!
