On an exceptional solo tour (20-21) !

On an exceptional solo tour 2021!

It’s the story of a man in love with the guitar. He fell into music at age four while studying the violin and cello. And of course the classical guitar, which he develops for jazz, his passion.

Very quickly spotted, he will then play with the biggest names in jazz including Wynton Marsalis, Michel Legrand, Elvin Jones, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Manu Katché, Stéphane Belmondo, Michel Portal, Bernard Lubat, Al Di Meola, Didier Lockwood, John Mc Laughing, Billy Cobham, Marcus Miller and many more!

From touring to album releases, Sylvain Luc’s career has enriched over the years. In the 2000s, he created the “Trio Sud” with André Ceccarelli and Jean-Marc Jafet: first album in 2000, second album in 2002 “Sylvain Luc Trio Sud” (Victoire de la musique 2003), third opus “Young and fine »In 2008 for which he received the Django d’Or.

Sylvain Luc, while developing more personal projects, is also inspired by various universes to develop his creativity: Iran with the masterful brothers Chemirani on percussions, Spain with the classical guitarist Marylise Florid, Paraguay by revisiting the directories of Barrios-Mangoré.

Faithful musician, Sylvain Luc resumes, in 2019, the path of the tour with Stéphane Belmondo, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the release of their multiple award-winning album “Ameskeri”.

Sylvain Luc has wanted to create a solo album for a long time with Renaud Létang, in the Ferber Studios (Paris), which he knows well. This director has already designed nearly 80 albums and has worked with the biggest names in French and international song.

Constantly looking for new sounds, Sylvain Luc is therefore offering the public a new album (release fall 2020), a new creation “alone on stage”!
